- 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
- 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
- 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
- 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
- 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
- 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
- 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

We have enjoyed riding our bikes
I live in San Francisco where 2 to 5 percent hills (5% equals 10 ft rise over 200 ft) is common. Going down hills is easy, but going up hills requires power. As such the pedal assist has no issue except for the steeper grades, so I rarely use the throttle except for one particular steep hill (Page from Divisadero to Broderick) that I think is a 10% grade.
I ride in the Sport mode, and I am able to get about 31 to 33 miles per battery. If I ride in the Tour mode that bumps into the 34 to 36 range.
The brakes are fine, but you have to feather them, because this bike is 80 pounds plus your weight, and you don't want to brake hard at the stop sign when coming down a 3 percent grade hill. When using the throttle, the engine has no issues unless your battery is in the red (20%). And that's the one thing that annoys me. The percentage battery life is misleading. You actually hit half of the range at 70 to 72 percent battery left, but then 30% battery left usually means no more than 2 or 3 miles. Go figure? I understand the difficulty with mapping the battery usage of the torque sensor to range, but it's a challenge to use the display percentage as a gauge. I suggest creating a system that uses internal data to model to a degree 5 polynomial that can be individualized per bike per customer riding environment and habits.
It's a quiet ride too. Not as much noise as other **** tire e-bikes of which I am familiar. Well worth the investment for the price.

My fson wanted an E bike for his birthday. We did tons of research as to what bike we should get him, but from having owned multiple electric scooters, and knowing that electric anything is bound to have an issue at some point, I wanted a bike where I would be able to take it to a local retail shop to get fixed if needed. The bike came easy to assemble. We used directions on YouTube versus the directions that came in the box. I, the mother with zero building skills, was able to put the bike together. My son loves the suspension on the bike. He said it is an incredibly smooth ride. Couldn’t be happier with our choice.

This was my 66th Birthday present to myself!
I love the feel of this bike, it is truly built to do it all!!! I have one little gripe-the grips. They don’t have end caps that pop off so you can slide in grip end mirrors. I’m finding while on the road I need a mirror on the left
Even with the grips this E-Bike is one to own!
