Fat tire bikes are designed primarily for all-terrain use and can handle various off-road terrains, including street, snow, sand, dirt trails, and rough roads.
The Aventure 2 weighs 77 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 10.6lbs)
Aventon’s Aventure 2 fat tire ebike comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Aventure 2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

I love my Aventon Adventure 3 Ebike

I have been riding bikes all my life and I’m 66 years old. I live in the North Georgia Mountains and have found it difficult to ride because of the hills in this area. My new e-bike eliminates this problem. I chose when to workout on my bike ride and when to get assistance. I love riding again. I really haven’t had it long enough to see how it will hold together but was very impressed with the quality of its build.

Excellent choice

I shopped for months before ordering. Very well pleased with my choice. Bike rides and handles great. I like the motor works with or without pedaling. Assembly was a breeze. FedEx on the other hand tossed the bike like a sack of potatoes. Aventon did promptly replace my bent rack. Glad I made the choice.

Thank you for your kind words and for choosing the Aventure 3 Ebike! We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying your new bike and that assembly was easy for you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the shipping process, but we are glad to hear that our customer service team was able to promptly resolve the issue with your rack.

Thank you again for your support and happy riding!

Impressions after 800 miles

I have had my Aventure2 for about a year and a quarter now. Just turned 800 miles and thought some would like to hear long term impressions.
First the good. This bike is awesome, incredibly well made. Nothing has come loose or failed to work as supposed to in this time. cannot speak highly enough on this. I got mine in black and the paint is like new. I am 73 years and bought this so I would start moving again. I live 8 miles from town on mostly large size, rough gravel roads. The **** tires take this easily. The road is rough and yet the bike still sounds like new, no rattles. I live at 8,000 ft. and town is at 7,000 ft so getting to town on a bike was never an issue. Coming home was. The Aventure2 makes coming up a doable experience without feeling like I am doing nothing. I wanted a bike to move, not an electric motorcycle. I do this trip 3 times a week in the summer. Seasons are short here so usually have to stop riding to town around late October and start again in mid May. I have recommended this bike more times than I can count and still get asked about it every time I ride to town after a year. What I would change. The rear is hard. No suspension and on a rough gravel road it hurts. So I added a suspension post for the seat and replaced the stock seat with a Cloud 9 seat. That helps but a suspension in the rear, or at least an option for one on a separate model would be welcome. I would make the headlight a simple turn on turn off at the light with a switch. I bought the large frame as I am 5'11 and thought the regular frame would be too small. In a do over I would get the regular size frame. That's it! This bike lives up to all of my expectations so far. I have had no problems so cannot speak to customer service. On the range. I suppose one could get 60 miles on a battery, if it was all down hill, no wind. But there is always wind, and there is always uphill. At least where i live. I can comfortably make 2 trips to town, that's 17 miles each trip. On the third trip I would be starting out with my battery at 42%, and I have to be honest, the battery shows discharge proportionately much faster at the end than at the beginning, so I have been too nervous to try another 17 miles on it at that point. My feeling is it would but my common sense says to charge it before that trip. I do have two batteries and should strap on the extra one sometime and ride it until it quits, But so far.......... I am off grid and find recharging the battery simple and efficient.
Hope this helps if you are thinking about an Aventon Aventure.
