FAQs

While the Level 2 does not include turn signals, it does come equipped with front and rear lights for a safer riding experience, day or night.
The average range for the Level.2 commuter ebike is up to 60 miles per charge, depending on the pedal assist level and throttle usage. For optimal riding experience with the Level.2, use the lowest PSA level to conserve battery life and extend range.
The Level 2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with a suspension fork, fenders, and a rear rack, while the Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle.
Commuter ebike tires are designed to be versatile and can be ridden on both smooth and rough surfaces, including roads, gravel, dirty trails, rocky areas, and even wetlands. If you want to overcome more challenging terrain and trails, our electric mountain bike is better suited for rougher landscape due to their wider tires and different geometry.
The Level 2 commuter electric bike weighs 62 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 7.6lbs)
Aventon’s Level 2 comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Level 2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Either an adjustable stem or a handlebar with a higher rise can elevate the riding position of the bike.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Explore a wide-range of Aventon accessories, including helmets, locks, bike pumps, and so much more to add to your next riding adventure.
All Aventon-branded frames, framesets, components, and batteries come with a 2-year warranty. Learn more about the Aventon warranty.
Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Great touring bike that can take some light trails too!

I've had the bike for little more than a week and just crossed 100 miles on the odometer! I ride mainly to stay fit and particularly enjoy going on longer rides of 25-40 miles when I have more time. The bike is very comfortable even for the longer rides. The range is "as advertised," I would end up getting ~60 miles using mostly Eco mode if I ran the battery to empty.

I see the Tektro brakes with motor cutoff and brake lights are back!!! Yeah Aventon! At least, that's what mine shipped with. I also appreciate the fenders more than I thought I would; keeps most of the road crud off the bike and off me.

I ride in Sussex County NJ and Orange County NY. I rode to the High Point State Park Monument and the bike made the climb no problem at all in Sport Mode. I still did a lot of the pedaling, but the Level 3's motor made it much easier.

And I think that's one of the best benefits of the E-bike. I ride further because I don't get burnt out on the hills. The Level 3 is a perfect balance of Touring Bike comfort and light-trail capable. Aventon, you might consider advertising it as a "Hybrid Touring Bike," because it fills that role exceptionally well.

Two features I'd like to see in a future firmware update:
1. The ability to limit maximum battery SOC to 80%. I don't always need the full range of the battery, and limiting SOC would extend the service life. Right now, I try to remember to unplug the battery charger before it reaches 100% SOC.
2. A clock on the main display. There's space to fit a simple HH:MM clock display above the speed indicator. Have it sync off the GPS time signal from the 4G module. All the user would have to do is set daylight savings on/off.

My comment is actually to ask if you will be restocking either the Level 2 or Aventure 2?
Id love for the Level 2 to be my first E Bike but I’d be interested in the Aventure as well.
