The Pace 5 REC was designed with an entirely new frame and adjusted touchpoints. The frame was designed to accomodate smaller riders, as well as to promote an upright, comfort-focused riding position. The Pace 5 REC also brings back the swept back handlebars and adjustable stem, but foregos the suspension seatpost to allow for a lower saddle height. The Pace 5 REC also features a significantly larger motor (750W with a 1440W peak in Boost mode) and a more efficient electrical system. Supported by the new Regenerative Braking feature, the Pace 5 REC offers up to 75 miles of range and a more powerful motor, meaning you can ride further, faster.
Regenerative Braking, or Regen, is using the motor as a generator when it's slowing down. Converting kinetic energy into electricity, powering the main battery as the bike slows down. Toggleable while coasting and during only-braking, Regen saves on power and your brake pads, allowing you to ride further.
Yes, the Pace 5 REC is rated to an IPX5 rating, meaning it can handle indirect water spray such as rain. Be sure to avoid direct, pressurized water and fully submerging the bike.

Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:
- 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
- 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
- 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
- 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
- 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
- 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
- 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

After many years of riding together (over 50years ) my son recommended maybe it was time to upgrade . The new pace 4 was our choice . My wife and I test road several makes and Aventon won out . A little hard to get used to because of the weight but in time got used to it and plan many more days riding . The Aventon dealer , Greensburg bike shop , was knowledgeable and friendly , and took care of all our needs .

I knew the Pace 4 had a number a nice upgraded features from my Pace 500.2 Next Gen, but i have to tell you i am blown away after a couple of rides. The “drivetrain” is so smooth and effortless. The swayback handlebars are a much needed relief for my shoulders and allow me to sit up straight. The power modes are great, especially the customization of the modes. I really appreciate the security upgrades. Even though i will always lock my bike, the addition of the motion sensor will surely discourage anyone.
My only suggestion is to make the turn signal buttons larger. I have inadvertently hit the power button which changes my view. i guess i could use the app but i will figure it out. Great bike and great investment with the higher gas prices. I am thrilled with my SECOND Aventon. Now, just hoping to find a “good home/buyer” for my Pace 500.2!
