The Aventon Fast Charger is our solution to getting our riders back on the road faster. The Fast Charging Mode, controlled in the Aventon App, charges compatible models in about two hours, up to 3X faster than the regular charger.

Path:

  1. Tap the Battery button
  2. Enter the Battery page
  3. Select the desired charging mode

Default mode: Normal

Fast charging must be selected manually if the user wants to enable faster charging mode.

The Fast Charger is designed to fully charge your battery in under 2 hours, up to 3X faster than the 6–8 hours with the standard Aventon Battery Charger. If you're often short on time between rides, this is the solution to keep you on the road.
Charging speed may vary based on battery SOC, battery temperature, ambient temperature, and system protection logic. Based on internal lab testing (the following charge times are provided for reference only):

  • 0–99%: 117 minutes
  • 0–90%: 107 minutes
  • 0–80%: 91 minutes
  • 10–90%: 94 minutes
  • 10–80%: 81 minutes
  • 20–90%: 85 minutes
  • 20–80%: 73 minutes
  • 30–90%: 74 minutes
  • 30–80%: 64 minutes
Yes, the Aventon Fast Charger is UL certified. UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is one of the most widely recognized independent safety certification bodies in North America. This certification means the charger has been rigorously tested by a third-party lab for electrical safety, fire resistance, and overheat protection, ensuring it meets strict industry safety standards. UL certification gives you added confidence that this charger is safe for everyday use with your Aventon battery system.
There is no significant impact. Based on rate-charging tests conducted across different charging speeds, the battery cells show no noticeable performance degradation before 500 charge-discharge cycles under the current fast charging configuration.
Yes. You're not required to use fast charging every time. The charger also works as a standard slow charger. You can switch between charging modes anytime in the app based on your needs.
By default, the app uses the Normal Charging mode. Fast Charging must be manually enabled. Here's how to switch:

  1. Tap the Battery button
  2. Enter the Battery page
  3. Select your desired charging mode
