Aventon Control Unit’s 4G†/GPS† capabilities introduce an array of new features.

  • GPS Location - GPS positioning is performed periodically and the position is updated to the Aventon app.
  • 4G cellular communication - The ACU communicates with cloud servers over 4G cellular networks.
  • Geofencing - Set boundaries where your ebike is allowed or not allowed to go.
  • Report lost - With 4G subscription, the motor assistance can be disabled from the Aventon app, and the bike’s motor will stop functioning.
  • Remote shutdown - The Aventon app can remotely control the shutdown of the ACU via Bluetooth or 4G network.
  • Alarm and Motion sensor - Now you can remotely detect movement and security verification failure, all from the Aventon app. After the shutdown, the ACU’s built-in accelerometer will continuously monitor for vibrations (such as being moved, falling, etc), and will report it through the 4G connection when detected.
  • Status report - With 4G, whether your bike is on or off, the ebike status info like location and battery is directly uploaded to the cloud server when the Aventon app is not connected. Through your Aventon app, you can also receive updates on ebike status and change notification frequency as desired.
  • Ride statistics summary - During your ride - mileage, duration, start/end locations are recorded and uploaded to the cloud server via Bluetooth or 4G, even when your Aventon app is not in use.
  • Transportation Mode - All functions such as status reporting and vibration monitoring can be turned off. For long-distance transportation, reducing the use of ACU’s 4G, can save battery power.
Aventon ebikes like the Level 3 are built to the IPX6 water-resistant standard. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX6-rated standard. An IPX6 rating means the bike is protected against high-pressure water streams from any angle. This provides strong water resistance, so you can confidently ride in heavy rain or through puddles and mud. However, IPX6 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Improve your life

I cannot tell you how much fun this bike is to ride. I use it to commute to work. I use it to explore my city and I use it to help fight some depression. You will fly on this bike. If you change the settings to go to the maximum speed it eats hills like I eat pizza. Not to mention the app and its features and security. The peace of mind it gives is priceless. I save so much money on gas and car insurance and car payments and I get exercise and enjoy the outdoors all the same I I found the brand that I will support continuously for the rest of my life.

Love this bike!

I have the Aventon Level 3 step through. I’ve always enjoyed riding but this bike brings it to a new experience. It’s just so much fun to ride and I can now keep up with my husband on his bike! I’ve been riding so much more and mainly use no assistance or eco mode. But when I want to go all out Sport and Turbo are awesome! So happy with this bike, you can’t help but smile when you’re riding it!

Level 3 Step Through

Had it for a month and am loving it. Only thing that was annoying is the rear breaks were really squeaking. Where I purchased it, they did not break in the breaks or tell me to do it. Once I figured out that, problem solved (i hope). If not, I will have the place I purchased from check it out at their 90 day inspection. I am 5'8" and got the large size. Seems to fit really well. I did swap out the hand grips for better ones and added a phone holder, which is great in that you can watch/track your ride with the GPS and the app.

Great Experience

Order a LEV3L 3 for the wife and I, it's nice to be out again. Getting up there in years, Aventon makes it possible for me to take on what lies on the road ahead, no matter how steep. If I don't have it in me or my knees say otherwise, with the press of the throttle I can make it to the top and keep on keeping on. Great e-bike, even better customer service, without question.

My Level 3. What a joy to ride!!!

I’ve always enjoyed bike riding but as years went on, my bad knees would make it painful sometimes. Last year I went on a nice ride on a local bike trail… I felt great and went out about 15 miles! Then, I turned around for the ride back and hit a headwind… my knees started to really hurt… that ride home was brutal and I didn’t ride as much after that… Fast forward to Feb 2025 when my daughter got a Level 2 for her birthday… I had always known about e-bikes but never tried one… I was blown away so much so that a week later, I purchased a Level 3 for myself and another Level 2 for my wife!!! At 6’1” 220, I went with the large frame. If my knees feel great, I can ride with no assistance… if I have a little pain, I switch it to Eco mode, where it makes you feel like you have the legs of a 40 year old… switch to Sport mode and you feel like you spend most of your days in the gym. All leg days!! Switch to Turbo mode and you have the legs of Superman… Hitting a hill and you just don’t have anything left? Hit the throttle and, and, well, what a joy to ride! Most of the time I switch between modes as I ride depending on the terrain. My new Level 3 has restored my joy of riding! With only 2 color choices, the Level 2 has brake lights whereas the newer model, Level 3 does not which seems odd. I believe it was because they upgraded the brakes and although they are better brakes, they lack the switch that would allow for a break light… Also, I do wish there were more color choices but it’s only color so I went with matte black over the matte purple/plumb.
I simply love this bike!!! Keep up the great work Aventon!!!
