Aventon Control Unit’s 4G†/GPS† capabilities introduce an array of new features.

  • GPS Location - GPS positioning is performed periodically and the position is updated to the Aventon app.
  • 4G cellular communication - The ACU communicates with cloud servers over 4G cellular networks.
  • Geofencing - Set boundaries where your ebike is allowed or not allowed to go.
  • Report lost - With 4G subscription, the motor assistance can be disabled from the Aventon app, and the bike’s motor will stop functioning.
  • Remote shutdown - The Aventon app can remotely control the shutdown of the ACU via Bluetooth or 4G network.
  • Alarm and Motion sensor - Now you can remotely detect movement and security verification failure, all from the Aventon app. After the shutdown, the ACU’s built-in accelerometer will continuously monitor for vibrations (such as being moved, falling, etc), and will report it through the 4G connection when detected.
  • Status report - With 4G, whether your bike is on or off, the ebike status info like location and battery is directly uploaded to the cloud server when the Aventon app is not connected. Through your Aventon app, you can also receive updates on ebike status and change notification frequency as desired.
  • Ride statistics summary - During your ride - mileage, duration, start/end locations are recorded and uploaded to the cloud server via Bluetooth or 4G, even when your Aventon app is not in use.
  • Transportation Mode - All functions such as status reporting and vibration monitoring can be turned off. For long-distance transportation, reducing the use of ACU’s 4G, can save battery power.
Fat tire bikes are designed primarily for all-terrain use and can handle various off-road terrains, including street, snow, sand, dirt trails, and rough roads.
Aventon ebikes like the Aventure 3 are built to the IPX6 water-resistant standard. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX6-rated standard. An IPX6 rating means the bike is protected against high-pressure water streams from any angle. This provides strong water resistance, so you can confidently ride in heavy rain or through puddles and mud. However, IPX6 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Perfect for Street and Trails

I bought this after getting my bride an Aventon Pace - she was highly reluctant to get one until she actually test rode one. Her response was, “OMG I LOVE IT!” And she immediately suggested I get one too. As a hunter I wanted something more suited to my needs, and I pulled the trigger on this one today! So far it’s been great in the street and light trails; I’ll try the farm this weekend!

Dear Aventon Bikes Team,

I wanted to share my positive experience with the new Aventure 3. After seeing that it was coming out, I decided to hold off on purchasing a **** tire bike, as I already owned a Level 2 that I bought last year. I was looking for something with **** tires offering a bit more power and better handling for some of the trails I frequent.

I am absolutely thrilled with my new Aventure 3! At 6 foot three and 225 pounds, the large frame (non step-through) fits me perfectly. I especially appreciate the ability to customize the power settings through the app, with Eco, Sport, and Turbo modes. Let me tell you, in Turbo mode with everything maxed out, this bike really moves!

While most Class 3 e-bikes reach 28 mph they sometimes require significant pedaling, especially with a torque sensor, the Aventure 3, even with its lighter and more streamlined 36V battery, maintains that speed with impressive ease. The 80 Newton meters of torque feels just right as well. Not too much not too little.

Beyond the performance, I've noticed the improved design of the bike – it looks fantastic. The addition of the suspension seat post was also a great choice.

I genuinely can't say enough good things about the Aventure 3. If anyone is considering purchasing a new **** tire e-bike, I can confidently say that you will be very happy with this bike.

The Adventure 3 is the Ultimate do-anything **** tire e-bike! I just received mine yesterday; installation took about 30 minutes, and then I was on the roads! I can't compliment the riding experience enough!
