- 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
- 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
- 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
- 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
- 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
- 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
- 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Our friend recommended this bike and we couldn't be happier. All of the attachments make it very versatile and the bench in the back fits all three of our kids if needed (2 very comfortably). It has enough power to keep me easily going at about 20 miles per hour, but isn't too zippy. The breaks are great, the headlamp is very nice to have as well. The battery is fine and 50 miles is what we've seen as the actual range, so not the best in terms of range but more then enough for our needs. Highly recommend for the price and what you get!

Personally love the bike and design. A little on the heavy side but could be just because it is a cargo bike. Pedal assist on eco mode is plenty enough for my needs to get me to max speeds on the road. Would have loved to get an installation manual with it and some tuning instructions in addition to the video guides as some parts have changed since the video like the foot rest pads for passenger. Some guidance on bike choice for carrying it somewhere and child seat for the bike or towing info would be useful for future mods

I LOVE my Abound! I've gotten so many compliments on it and have hauled everything from library books, Christmas presents, and my dog. My only caution is the weight- which is either a perk or a hindrance depending on how you plan to primarily use your bike.
This bike is HEAVY. Its a whopping 81lbs (without accessories or cargo), but I feel it is a perfectly reasonable trade off for all of its hauling capacity (400+lbs), though this does make it extra hard to park in my city with very few bike racks.
So, if you want THE bike to completely replace your car for everyday use in town, whether with kids or groceries in tow, this bike is for you. If you want a commuter bike, want to regularly bike very long distances, and/or only plan to utilize the cargo space occasionally, you may want a different bike, just to save you the extra work with all that weight. But all in all, I think cargo bikes (and this bike in particular) are incredible and more people should consider them over a car!

This is my first electric bike and it's a whole world of change compared to my regular bike. My wife and I alternate using it to go to work and take our 2.5 yr-old to day-care. The Thule toddler seat fits great on the back rack. The saddlebags that are customized to the abound model are great, very roomy. The front rack is very useful, too, and it's a shame that Aventon has discontinued the front basket that went with the rack; even so, you can tie stuff on the front rack or even attach a milk crate to it, instead of the discontinued rack. The pop-up saddle is great when we swap the bike between me and my wife. We've only ridden the bike around 60 miles, and it's worked great so far. I hope for more of the same for many more miles ahead.
