I just turned 60 years old and had not ridden for a few years finding the hills near my home a bit too challenging following a hip replacement. After recently riding a friends e-bike I realized how much I missed riding and more importantly how much a little extra help could make riding fun again. With this in mind, I purchased my first e-bike from Aventon, the Aventure M. While I have only ridden 80 miles to date (both roads and trails), so far everything has gone well and the bike has exceeded my expectations. Below are some initial thoughts about the bike and purchased accessories.
What I like:
- Auto shift and auto assist
- Quiet, powerful, mid-drive motor
- **** tires and smooth ride
- Relatively easy assembly
- Bright, easy to read screen
- Auto lock, password lock, tracking, alarm
- Headlight and blinkers
- Rear rack
- Aventon App
What could be improved
- Price (expensive)
- Assembly instructions, between the YouTube video and printed material, I still had to figure things out that were not explained. This also applies to the Aventon Twin Pannier bags (separate review forthcoming)
- Heavy (I assembled alone and threw my back out lifting it out of the box and trying to get the front wheel on - I knew better but was anxious to ride!)
- No brake lights (only red tail light and blinkers)
I find myself wanting to ride this everyday and have started using it for trips to the gym and grocery store in addition to trail rides (saw my first mountain lion last week while riding!!). Looking forward to increasing my milage in the weeks ahead and will add additional thoughts once I've spent more time with it. Highly recommend this bike to anyone considering it as an option.

The fact that Aventon responds to a comment lets me know I can get support whenever I need it. I bought a Segway GT2 a couple years ago now and spent $3k and then when I got hit by a truck. There was no one to get ahold of and it took my 8months to find someone who could fix it. The customer service in this world has become horrible. BUT NOT WITH AVENTON! My buddies say you guys are the best too! Your simple kindness has gone a long way among our firefighter community. 3 guys at my department have already purchased multiple for themselves and family! This bag is great! It doesn't lean to the left or to the right like my other one. Plus it has plenty of room with the drop down panniers on each side
I like the design & ease of using it. I did not use the bracket that attaches to the bike carrier & tried the valcro first. It appears to work fine. They have really done an excellent job of engineering the whole bike everything seems to fit together and easy to use. Thank you Aventon!

This is my 2nd Aventon. I bought the first for my son on his 14th birthday. It is still growing strong!!! This one was bought for my daughter for her birthday!. The first was bought from a store and came put together. This one I bought directly from Aventon. I was really worried about putting it together as I am not mechanically inclined (Single mom) It was so easy to put together. This Aventon came 90% Assembled already. There’s a perfect YouTube video step-by-step on the last few pieces. I had made a mistake in my shipping address. I contacted them and it was changed right away. I received Notification when it was shipping, And also when it was delivered. Every step of the way went smoothly :) this company REALLY has all Aspects of their business, Product manufacturing to customer service down!!! like the front rack. Only problem "I had was when I wiped out on a grassy slop, the rack bent and I could not stra'ig;hten it out and has to b;uy a new one. Otherwise OK

Had a slight hopping with the tire and after hours of trying to re adjust the rep sent me a new one without any haggling, **** questions etc. to me, in my opinion the representative believed exactly what I was telling him which I am grateful for so now my new wheel is being shipped out and I couldn't be more happier!!!

I have had my Soltera 2.5 for a few weeks now. After a few hundred miles I absolutely love it. Not sure why they took away the stop lights and messed with the trip odometer but if I could I’d give the bike itself 10 stars.

My two kids both fit well on the back of my Abound LR with this kit. The seat pad is very cushioned, and I appreciate the back rest. I like the foam padding on the hand rail, but we will see with time if it holds up to sun, rain, cold weather exposure.

I added the throttle to my Adventure M. It works great for that extra boost needed and the old legs start to burn. I highly recommend it especially for the seniors in the group!
