The Level Step-Through is designed for riders who rate comfort and ease-of-use as highly as they do functionality. Built in fenders, a versatile rack, and ride tempering front suspension mean that, wherever you go, you'll be riding in comfort, carrying all you need, whilst safely protected from the elements below. With the same technology under the hood as our beloved Level Commuter ebike, but with a lower center of gravity and a step-through for the less able-bodied amongst us, the Level Step-Through will keep up with the traffic during the week and even the fastest of grandchildren on the weekend.

Great bike

I bought the Aventon level step thru for my wife as we sold the Rad Runner she had, what great build quality, and bike is fast, we like the fact that it comes with a rear rack and wheel fenders. The seat/saddle is very good as well

1000 mile review update

Odometer hit 1,012 miles this morning. I took delivery in July and ride 14 miles everyday. When I had just 30 miles on my Level Commuter I wrote a glowing review on this bike. Now that I have over 1,000 miles on the bike I thought I would do a follow up. In a word FANTASTIC, I couldn't be happier with this bike. Not a single issue of any kind. Everything works just as well as it did on day one. The only maintenance required is to add about 10 pounds of air pressure to the tires every few weeks. The tires by the way look factory new after 1,000 miles.

I'm 77 years old and ride for exercise and the pure enjoyment of getting outdoors. Other than to see how well pedal assist works when I first got my level, I have never exceeded level 2 during my rides. With the exception of a couple of steep hills on my route I stay in 8th gear and don't use the throttle with the exception of taking off from a dead start after stopping for traffic. My average speed is 14.5 miles an hour on my 14 mile route. I recharge the battery after 28 miles (every other day) and the power level indicates I would have another 10 miles plus of power available. Since I ride on curvy and hilly 2 lane country roads with no shoulders I equipped the bike with lights that are always on and flashing when I ride and a rearview mirror installed into the end of the handlebars which allows me to see what is coming up behind me. I LOVE MY LEVEL COMMUTER.

So. Much. Fun.

My husband and I purchased two of these bikes after we realized we could cover more ground with bikes than hiking. We want to see stuff!!! BUT the hills we climb on foot can be intimidating on a bike. So we decided on pedal assist. What a dream. I have never had the assist above 1 and really only use it on hills. For instance, I was at a dead stop at a stop sign. I was struggling so I engaged pedal assist at a '1'. Wow! I FLEW through that intersection! It was awesome! So far we love these bikes. We didn't get the right fender stay with my husband's bike and are waiting for a replacement. But CS has been helpful so far.

Very happy with the purchase

We purchased (2) Level Commuter bikes and they exceed our expectations. The only slight negatives are that the assembly instructions are skimpy / outdated. Also, we returned the color displays as they were hard to read in the sun compared to the standard B/W display. Both bikes need the gears adjusted but Aventon will reimburse us. The battery life is great. We just completed a 40 mile trip and still had 45% remaining life. Overall the bikes are amazing and the customer service has been excellent.

Very good bike, minor quibbles

I’ve only had my Level for short while, so what follows are first impressions. Overall, I like the bike a lot—it’s fun and practical. Assembly was relatively easy, except for the front fender. The allen screws that attach the fender to the fork were a little short, and I had to be very careful not to cross thread them. The bike has plenty of power and is reasonably comfortable. The minor issues that I have with the bike mainly have to do with the power controls. I’d really like to have the ability to modify the PAs; that is, change the speeds for the five levels. It’d also be nice if one could control the transitions between PAs--as it is, the transitions are too abrupt. The display unit could use some improvements, too. Two identical trip meters? No clock? Despite these minor cons, I’m quite pleased with the bike.
