While the Level 2 does not include turn signals, it does come equipped with front and rear lights for a safer riding experience, day or night.
The average range for the Level.2 commuter ebike is up to 60 miles per charge, depending on the pedal assist level and throttle usage. For optimal riding experience with the Level.2, use the lowest PSA level to conserve battery life and extend range.
The Level 2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with a suspension fork, fenders, and a rear rack, while the Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle.
Commuter ebike tires are designed to be versatile and can be ridden on both smooth and rough surfaces, including roads, gravel, dirty trails, rocky areas, and even wetlands. If you want to overcome more challenging terrain and trails, our electric mountain bike is better suited for rougher landscape due to their wider tires and different geometry.
The Level 2 commuter electric bike weighs 62 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 7.6lbs)
Aventon’s Level 2 comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Level 2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Either an adjustable stem or a handlebar with a higher rise can elevate the riding position of the bike.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Great commuter bike

I bought a Level 1 in 2020 and was very pleased with it; of course a battery doesn't last forever, and the range on my Level 1 had decreased of late, so I opted to buy the Level 3 and what a delight. First of all, it arrived promptly; I had it sent to a LBS for assembly, it was a reasonable price and what I would have spent on TaskRabbit to assemble it - not something I'd want to do myself. The bike is smooth and intuitive. There's built in front and rear lights (Yeah!!) and even turn signals LOL. There's a locking system and an alarm system in place - just to help keep the honest people honest, right? Easily switches between Class 2 and Class 3. I really enjoy the feature of being able to get some assist from a standing start - not available typically in Class 3 - and I like the slightly higher speeds Class 3 allows. I rely on this bike. I commute 5 days a week. And the software is good about advising what the estimated range is depending on how much pedal assist the rider is invoking. That's not an easy thing to engineer so hat's off to the engineers as Aventon for that feature. In sum, it's a spectacular bike particularly with respect to the pricing.

Excellent feature/price value!

I love my Level 3

I was looking for an e-bike that would make riding up the hills in my area easier. I paid a visit to my local bike shop and looked over several options. I wanted a step-thru bike since I am almost 70. They recommended the Aventon Level 3. After a test ride I really liked it.
