While the Level 2 does not include turn signals, it does come equipped with front and rear lights for a safer riding experience, day or night.
The average range for the Level.2 commuter ebike is up to 60 miles per charge, depending on the pedal assist level and throttle usage. For optimal riding experience with the Level.2, use the lowest PSA level to conserve battery life and extend range.
The Level 2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with a suspension fork, fenders, and a rear rack, while the Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle.
Commuter ebike tires are designed to be versatile and can be ridden on both smooth and rough surfaces, including roads, gravel, dirty trails, rocky areas, and even wetlands. If you want to overcome more challenging terrain and trails, our electric mountain bike is better suited for rougher landscape due to their wider tires and different geometry.
The Level 2 commuter electric bike weighs 62 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 7.6lbs)
Aventon’s Level 2 comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Level 2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Either an adjustable stem or a handlebar with a higher rise can elevate the riding position of the bike.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Best bike I have ever owned!

This thing rocks!!! I absolutely love my Level 4 Rec. It's powerful when I need it which isn't too often but it's nice when passing groups of people or going up a monster hill. I only used the throttle one time, and that's because the chain fell off (completely my fault) and got jammed. The throttle took me home otherwise I would have been walking it. It's the nicest bike I have ever owned. It handles gravel and sharp corners like a dream. It's heavy though, and I had to find a better saddle because the one it came with was causing some pain. That's such a personal thing though. Overall it is a very well built bike and worth every penny.

Level 4 Rec Step over

My buddy owns 3 Aventon's and I finally took his advice and got one. I have watched so many videos and they are all pretty spot on and the packaging is VERY well done, even after FedEx beat the cr4p out of the box ha. I have to admit, I have a lot of mechanical experience, however, this thing was very easy to build - it only took me 30 min and that included going back around and double checking every ****. I will say the given bar code to scan for the video direction to build, might be a little outdated? There were some spots that seemed different, like the wiring going to the display. And the alignment arrows for said wiring was difficult to see. I did a quick 5 mile ride today, a little vibration check if you will, and everything was still nice and snug when I got back to my house. Amazing bike, I am glad I finally picked one up.

How to turn off regenerative braking/coasting?

I've googled instructions and I cannot find a RIDE ASSIST menu on the bike's display nor in the Aventon app. I hold + and - for 3s but no RIDE ASSIST menu. Help please. I would post in the Aventon forum, but the admins are not approving my request to be added and it's been a couple of weeks.

Level 4 ADV Is Great

Moved to a mid drive e-bike from a rear hub throttle e-bike and it’s a night and day difference. If you want a e-bike that feels more like riding a regular bike and get some exercise I would check out a mid drive like the Level 4 ADV. You can ride around effortlessly but, if you want you can also exert more effort to go even faster and get some exercise. The optional throttle works ok but, due to the mid drive motor it isn’t as torquey like a rear hub e-bike and cuts into the bike’s range. It has no problem going 20 mph with the throttle. I was leaning more towards the Level 4 REC at first because I enjoy riding e-bikes that have a throttle with instant torque but, in the end I am glad I got the Level 4 ADV. It has great range, shifting customization, auto shifting is a useful/nice option that can also be customized and I get some meaningful exercise while having a lot of fun. I wanted matte black but, it was sold out. I end up getting the step through in haze color and I’m actually glad I did. The matte black is not **** by any means but it’s kind of boring. The haze purple is a nice shade of purple. I wished it was a little darker but, it’s still really nice shade. Really happy with the Level 4 ADV. Hoping to see some Aventon belt drive e-bikes in the future.

Great Bike

Bought my level 4 rec step through 3 weeks ago and have already put 120 miles on it and absolutely love it. The ride is unreal and makes easy to get up hills.
