ULTRO FIXED GEAR BIKE FRAME

Ultro represents the pinnacle of design for track and fixed gear racing from Aventon. A pure-bred race machine for the velodrome or fixed gear crit scene. We chose to build it in carbon fiber for the best possible performance - lightweight, strong and stiff, with premium materials: Toray T700.

When we set out to build the Ultro, we went straight to the source - designer James Trimble. Trimble has been building carbon fiber bicycle frames since the early 90’s. Bikes run in the Trimble family (you may have heard of David, who started the Red Hook Crit, and Brent, founder of Kestrel Bikes.) Trimble designed performance and convenience features that represent the very best race bike we can produce. These include a tapered head tube for stiffness when you unleash your sprint, built-in chain tensioners for easy adjustments when changing gear ratios, and a massive, aero wing-shaped carbon fiber seatpost. The frame features an integrated, hidden aero seatpost binder for a super clean look.

In keeping with the racing ethos, Ultro is designed for brakeless riding on the velodrome and is not drilled for front or rear brakes. Ultro is offered as a frameset so that you can build it up just the way you like. The Ultro frameset package includes frame, fork, headset, and aero seatpost.

Ultro Fixed Gear Bike Frame

This is the carbon steed that represents the pinnacle of design for track and fixed gear racing. Being the most progressive bike we’ve ever created, we obsessed over it being as beautiful as it is fast. Disciplined on the boards of the velodrome, but a slayer on the asphalt, the Ultro is the ultimate racer experience.

Aerodynamic Design

Extraordinary Capability

When we developed the Ultro, we weren’t satisfied with another open-mold race bike. We went to James Trimble, the OG of aero track designs to curate this machine. After years of CFD modeling and design tweaks, the Ultro has been sculpted into slippery aerodynamic shapes, with a hidden seatpost clamp, and a winged seatpost, allowing you to unleash your fastest self.

The Power to Harness

Fitted with oversized tubing and a tapered steerer, the power delivery is precise and direct to the wheels. Railing through corners, the tubing ensures stiffness where you want it and comfort and support when you need it.

Well done, Aventon!

I’ve been riding this bike on the velodrome for a few weeks now, and I’ve been loving it! The ride feels super smooth, and it’s nice and stiff when sprinting. On the top of the ride quality, the design is one of my favorites. It’s beautifully painted, and I love how the colors are coordinated with the lines on the track 🤓. All together, an awesome frame!

Serious attention to detail--TOP NOTCH

I used to own and manage a bike shops and I've built thousands of bikes from all over the price spectrum. This thing is impressive!

The finish is great, the build quality is as good as any of the big brands and everything is aligned right. The bottom bracket shell is fit properly, the headset bearing seats are correct and true--this is a big deal. I've seen high-end frames where the bearing seat bores are out of round by 1mm+, resulting on anything from weird handling characteristics to bearing failure. The dropouts are dead even. Again, something I've seen out of spec in $2000-$3000 frame sets. This frame set is build like one double the price or more.

This is one of the best track frames you can buy.

Stiff and fast!

This is an incredible track bike for sprinting on the track or racing through corners in a crit. I've been riding it for a few weeks and I love how it handles. Great design and very eye-catching too.
