Choosing the right sized bike for you can be a personal preference. There are many different measurements that affect riding comfort and performance, such as standover, reach, and seatpost height. If you're looking for a great place to start, we have recommended sizing in our geo chart.
The weight limit for both Current EXP and ADV is 300lbs.
The bike will come with tubes installed, but is still considered Tubeless Ready!
"Tubeless Ready" means a few things. First, the wheels and tires are both tubeless ready, meaning that tires can bead directly into the rim of the wheel. Second, the wheels come taped for tubeless so the sealant (the fluid that seals small punctures) doesn't seep through the spoke holes.

The Current EXP and ADV eMTBs are built to standard industry spec, with included hangers for non-Transmission drivetrains.
The headtube will accept any tapered fork and you can route any seatpost you desire, as long it is the correct diameter.
The wheels are standard boost spacing and the headset is a ZS56 upper and lower, meaning that you can even run an angleset headset for a more customized ride.
The Current is built on a trail bike platform, meaning that it will handle a majority of trails. We have tested the Current on everything from green flow to double-black diamond downhill trails, and it's taken them on with varying levels of difficulty.

The Current EXP weighs 53lbs while the Current ADV weighs 56lbs.
Yes, both the Current EXP and ADV have waterproof ratings of IPX6 and the Ultro X motor has a waterproof rating of IP67, meaning that the bikes can handle direct streams and some submersion
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:
- 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
- 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
- 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
- 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
- 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
- 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
- 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

I’m still pretty new to e-bikes, but I’ve been really impressed with the Aventon Current so far. I took it out on a 12-mile ride in Camden Hills State Park with about 1,800 feet of climbing, and it handled everything I threw at it—climbs, technical sections, and mixed terrain.
It even powered me up and over steep, techy sections I’ve always had to get off and push on my acoustic bikes, which was pretty amazing to experience.
The power feels strong and smooth, and the bike is just a lot of fun to ride. I’m still learning and adjusting to the assist modes, but it’s clear there’s a lot of capability here.
Overall, really happy with it and excited to keep riding and exploring!

My local bike shop who does all my bike work is an Aventon dealer and got the EXP in for demo purposes and I was one of the 1st to ride it. Fell in love with the power and geometry of this bike! sold both of my Orbea Rise's and ordered my own EXP right away from the same shop! For the price, this is probably the BEST value going in a full suspension, full powered, full loaded EMTB for sure! Now I just have to wait patiently until it gets here. Please support your local bike shop and buy from them instead of direct online! They need the business and will help you when you need service!

I just pick up this bike yesterday from my local bike shop and got the exp model. I've been riding ebikes for about 3 years now and been racing on them. I'm coming off a 23 orbea wild with gen 4 bosch which has been a great bike but this bike has proven itself on just one ride. One big thing it carries speed much better than the other motors out there and the torque is pretty impressive. The bike corners super well which I was pretty surprised. The battery life is pretty impressive also. I'm getting ready to rebuild it from the ground up to a race bike for this season races but I'm pretty picky when it comes to parts but for what your getting on the bike it has awesome parts. Great job AVENTON
