Keep up the Pace with our latest ebike! This Class III ebike maximizes fun and keeps you cruising. It's like powering up your legs to make hills a thing of the past. Equipped with large comfortable tires, the Pace gives you the ultimate balance in comfort and power. With a relaxed, upright riding position and 5-levels of pedal-assist, this ride will keep the smile on your face all day long.
Everything you need, right at your handlebars. Monitor your charge level, speed, distance, and pedal assist level right on your screen. There's even a backlight for night rides.
With the Pace 500 you can ride with pedal assist or throttle. Use a little pedal assist when you want a workout, or a higher setting for help on the hills. Or use the throttle if you don't want to pedal at all.
Our powerful rear-hub motor gets you up to speed immediately, climbs hills effortlessly, and tows trailers easily
At just 49lbs, Pace 500 is light enough to load onto a car rack or carry up a flight of stairs - significantly lighter than competing ebikes.
Only a few minutes to build your bike and you'll be riding in no time
Unlike other ebikes, we don't believe one size fits all. The fit of your bike can make or break your riding experience and we want you to stay cruising. Simply find your height and match your size. The hard part is picking a color.

Pace 500 ships as a Class III ebike on throttle and pedal assist. If you are riding on private property or in an area without ebike speed restrictions, the speed limit can be modified in the settings, and Pace 500's powerful motor can go up to about 4 MPH above the factory set top speed. Pace 500 will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are not allowed.
Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride or park your ebike in the rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be submerged or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Great bike. Had for a 2 month so far, I've put 300 miles on it. It's great, if you get good at conserving battery you don't even need to charge it more than once or twice a week, depending on how much you use it.
We love our e-bikes. The aventon is well made, easy to put together and a blast to ride. It will hall ass and still get a workout! 😁
My heart sank when my brother told me he'd bought an expensive graphite bike that weighed "about 5 pounds". His wife, ,my main biking buddy, 11 years my junior, has a similar bike. I love my comfortable hybrid bike, but knew my relatives would be leaving me in the dust.
I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, but spend time in Northern Ohio, where the terrain is flat and good for biking. I seldom ride my hybrid at home, because it's too much effort to cope with the hills. The answer to the high hills and swifter riders seemed to be an e-bike.
I researched e-bikes, and the Aventon Pace 500 was the lightest weight, with the best reviews. As a 71 year old woman, I struggle to lift my bike up onto the car rack. For that reason I didn't opt for a step-in model, (although I liked the colors) because it would require an additional 7 pound bar to balance on the rack.
The bike shipped from California to Virginia two weeks from the day I'd ordered it, as promised. My mechanically inclined friend and I watched the video, and the two of us were able to assemble it in a couple of hours. We had a couple of questions necessitating a call to the factory, but they got back to us later that afternoon.
There is definitely a learning curve if you've never ridden an electric bike. My advice is to try it out on an uncrowded bike path, or somewhere without a lot of traffic. The first time I hit the PAS (pedal assist) button I was startled when it roared forward. On my first ride, I never went higher than PAS 1, which moved me along at 14.5 MPH. If you stop pedaling, the bike slows down.
On our second ride, my friend and I rode our e-bikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway, on top of Afton Mountain, which was temporarily closed to traffic. The first 2 miles are steadily uphill; I never felt like tackling this on a regular bike. However, on the Pace 500 it was a great ride. I mostly stayed at level 1, but felt safe enough to sample levels 2 and 3.
Today it was 45 degrees with a stiff breeze, and I rode to the end of my road. I can coast the entire three miles down without pedaling, but coming back on my regular bike I'm standing up to pedal, or in places walking it uphill. Five minutes into the ride I was freezing, but I coasted down, figuring I'd warm up on the trip back. This didn't happen, because of the icy wind blowing in my face, freezing my ears in the helmet. I put the Aventon through its Paces; we flew up those hills at level 2 or 3, and I also used the throttle (which was not scary at all; you just press the lever and it revs up, but stops as soon as you let go). Made it back in about ten minutes. I am sold on The Aventon Pace 500.
It is so much fun to ride my new Aventon Pace 500 e-bike. I love it!
First E-Bike and customer service was amazing from beginning to end. My wife had back surgery and was unable to jump on her road bike comfortably and begin retraining. The upright position and pedal assist are helping her make a comeback in both fitness and posture without suffering. Now I can't keep up with her and she is having fun riding again. She now sees a complete recovery thanks to Aenton. High quality, simplistic minimal design makes this a best buy. Arrived 2 days after I order and 20 minutes to put together. The best buying experience in a very long time and worth every penny. Only thing I would ask Aventon to change is the seat. Not so comfortable.
