My wife has the Soltera. For me, If Aventón could take the Soltera 2.5 and add A suspension seat, the internal mechanical lock that they have on another model, and add a 20 mm front suspension system similar to Specialized Future Shock, and keep the weight below 45 lbs and price below $2000, then I would jump at the opportunity to purchase it! That would be a perfect bike for a senior who needs a lightweight bike, security against theft, and the comfort for our body!

My wife bought me this bike for my birthday! I am completely blown away by the quality and the ride of this bike. Putting it together was a breeze. This is my first EMTB ever. I chose Aventon because I still currently own the original Aventure **** tire bike and have had zero issue over the past 4 or 5 years. I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on the Ramblas, but when I saw that this bike was coming out I had to have it. Full suspension, better components, 4g, more powerful motor… I have taken it out a few times over the last week and it has been an absolute blast! The power delivery is so smooth and precise. There is also tons of power available if you want it. I use this bike for trails and for a daily rider. Which brings me to my only complaint. I wish Aventon would have put a USB-C plug on the display and had a light. If you decide to release one I would buy it immediately. My wife absolutely loves this bike as well. Her mind was set on the Ramblas, but after seeing my Current ADV she is now undecided. Hopefully Aventon starts selling the Current REC here in the states and not just Germany. My wife would buy that in a second! It has fenders, lights, and great trail capabilities at a low price. It fills the gap between the Ramblas and the ADV.

Just took my first ride on my Level 4 ADV. I upgraded from a Level 2 that I bought two years ago. The least I can say is WOW! The wireless shifting alone makes buying it a no-brainer, but the Level 4 goes way beyond that.

I don't know where to begin, but the automatic shifting is a game changer. I haven't fine-tuned it but even out of the box it's phenomenal. I rode the first half of my 26 mile nightly ride with eco boost and increased my average time by about 20% over the Level 2. On the way back I rode without pedal assist. Despite the extra weight and drag, I actually rode the 13 miles home FASTER than my hybrid MTB!

The configuration options are limitless. I thought I would have to adjust the pedal assist for each of the four modes (off, eco, sport, turbo), but Aventon has made all that unnecessary. You can adjust it by specifying the cadence you want to maintain, the effort you want to exert, the amount of assist the bike provides vs. your effort, etc. Setting a lower cadence requires more effort for a given speed, and it gives you a better workout. I found that 75 RPM was about right for the effort I wanted without using pedal assist. The bike senses cadence changes and selects the gear accordingly. It shifts down going uphill, up going downhill, etc. It even downshifts when you stop to make it easier to get up to speed! You can also ride it in fully manual mode, just as you would a traditional bike.

Automatic shifting is just one improvement. Here's some more.
1) The cheap plastic chain guard that broke off from my Level 2 is now metal.
2) Fender extensions that provide extra protection from splashes and dirt are included. I rigged up an old plastic fender on the Level 2.
3) The Level 4 weighs 10 lbs. less and the weight is better balanced. It's much easier to carry up the stairs into my house.
4) The Level 4 seat post has been upgraded to a suspension style.
5) The mid drive motor feels more natural than the hub motor, and it's easier to remove the rear wheel. The ride is also much smoother.
6) The security features are fantastic. The Level 4 has wheel and battery lockouts, an option to use a PIN to start it, theft detection, and several other improvements including geofencing!
7) The rear lights have been moved from the fender and seat stays to where the seat and chains stays meet. It's easier for rear traffic to see but harder for cross traffic, especially when using panniers.
8) Orange turn signals are new and integrated into the lights. Unlike the Level 2 though, the Level 4 does not have brake lights.
9) The Level 4 has a 10 speed cassette vs. 8 on the Level 2.
10) Last but very far from least, the range on the Level 4 is 120 miles, double that of the Level 2. It's now easy to pedal without assist, effectively extending the range by using assist only when necessary, especially on flat terrain.

Here's a few negatives.
1) Aventon uses low-range components without an option to upgrade. That's understandable, as very few riders need a better group set. Despite this, the chain and cassette on my Level 2 have lasted an incredible 6,300 miles! I've had no problems with the shifters, brakes, chain rings, derailleur, cables, etc.
2) The stock Kenda tires are prone to flats and are a compromise between city and trail riding. I ride almost exclusively on pavement and upgraded them to Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus. I rode 6,000 miles on the Level 2 without a flat!
3) The Level 4 pedals are plastic. I swapped them for metal ones with platform and clipless sides.
4) The kickstand that broke off on my Level 2 doesn't seem to be any better. Worse yet, you can't install a motorcycle-style two leg kickstand because there's no space between the chain stays in front of the rear wheel. Single-leg kickstands will not hold the bike up when it's carrying a heavy load such as panniers filled with groceries.
5) This is a big one. Aventon chargers don't show the charge level and you can't set it. You have to unplug the charger and turn on the bike to see it. If you're charging an extra battery you have to swap it with the one on the bike. All lithium-ion batteries perform best and will last longer when they're not charged over 80% or drained below 20%. They also have to be fully charged every 10 complete cycles to prevent them from developing a "memory." I have to manually calculate the charging time by multiplying the percentage of charge I want to add by 2.5 minutes and use a countdown timer. Also, the batteries "overcharge" by about 15%. I can ride 10 - 12 miles before the charge level drops to 99% on the display. I have to factor this in when setting a charging time.

Don't let these drawbacks fool you. If you're unsure if you should buy a Level 4 ADV, you can put any doubts to rest. This bike has EVERYTHING that I've wanted in an e-bike and more at a very competitive price. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

JUST BUY IT!

I recently purchased a Ramblas ADV primarily for riding up the mountain logging roads in the Oregon Cascades after trying a friends. I have made several rides climbing winding gravel roads up several thousand feet. Uphill grades can last for miles and the Ramblas does it well. I usually use the eco and trail modes with occasional turbo. I have tried the auto mode which goes through the battery a bit faster. After a 2 to 3 hour mountain ride I end up with 50% to 60% battery capacity. The forks, dropper post and gear set work very well for my needs (I'm 73 years old and this is a great way to exercise with other retired friends). The only drawback is the Ramblas was too large for my wife but she found another brand to ride along with us.

Someone cut the wire off my original headlight and I was pleased to see how inexpensive this replacement was. Very easy to install as well.

I bought my new Pace 4 about a month ago, and it came with these "swept back" handle bars and I love 'em. I love everything about that bike! It is so much fun to ride and has plenty of power. I would highly recommend the Pace 4 ebike! You won't be disappointed!

I had a bad day. Got a flat 8 miles from home on my Ramblas. The Slime sealant in my tube did nothing. No phone service so I pushed the bike for 4 1/2 miles till I got service. Wife came to rescue me in my smallish SUV. I stuffed the bike as best I could in the back and drove home. When I unloaded the bike I noticed the display was hanging by the wires. The clamp had broken that holds the display to the bars. So my only complaint about this display is that there is no metal in the mounting clamp. I suggest that you be VERY careful when you tighten this plastic clamp or it will break. I only tightened it enough so it won’t slip on the bars. Don’t try to lock it on. That said; the display works great! Put it on-plug it in and connect to your Aventon app. Everything transfers so the new display is just like the original display. Funny thing: I noticed a rubber plug on the back with a USB-C port behind it. Will it charge my phone? I read the manual when I bought the bike but don’t remember seeing anything about this port. Any way, I love the new display and I think it’s reasonably priced. I got it in the mail in 4 or 5 days.

Love it! This is my first electric bike, and I can’t believe I didn’t try one sooner. It was a bit tricky to assemble at first, but I figured it out without too much trouble. It feels very safe to ride, and now I want all the accessories! You won’t regret it.

The ramblas is an excellent emtb that is capable of doing so much on the trails. The motor is very strong and the bike feels very comfortable to ride. Definitely recommend it.

The disappointing part is you can't reach anyone for return instructions and it's a very small window. I emailed 3 days ago but received no response. I love the bike but needed a couple inches more height, I got the taller riser but it was minimal. I thought the handlebar would have more height based on the reviews but the reviews were for all different handlebars. It's not an 3xpensive part just frustrating.

The rack was properly described on line. The ramp with the e-bike walk mode worked great for people with a back issue.

The Adventure 3 charger that came with the bike is poorly designed. The tab broke off the 3rd time the battery was charged. The manufacture really should change the design. Other than that, the Adventure 3 step through bike is awesome.

The seat post is the exact specs as the one that came with my bike. Easy to find on the site, great price, fast shipping. 5 out of 5 Stars

The display solved the problem, great job team

I’m still pretty new to e-bikes, but I’ve been really impressed with the Aventon Current so far. I took it out on a 12-mile ride in Camden Hills State Park with about 1,800 feet of climbing, and it handled everything I threw at it—climbs, technical sections, and mixed terrain.

It even powered me up and over steep, techy sections I’ve always had to get off and push on my acoustic bikes, which was pretty amazing to experience.

The power feels strong and smooth, and the bike is just a lot of fun to ride. I’m still learning and adjusting to the assist modes, but it’s clear there’s a lot of capability here.

Overall, really happy with it and excited to keep riding and exploring!

Charger works perfectly as a replacement until we find where the other is after a move.

So, my wife bought a Radrunner.2 a couple of years ago, but as time went on it just wasn't to her liking. At the time, I bought the Aventon Aventure.2, and it's been, and still is, an amazing eBike. She began searching and researching ebikes. She stumbled upon the Abound. It was so funny; I said, "Honey, that's an Aventon!" She said, "No, I want the Abound!" I smiled and said, "Honey... the Abound is made by Aventon. It's an amazing bike! You should check all the amazing tech and theft prevention this thing has!" She interrupted me, "I already have! I've seen all the YouTube videos; and I want the Abound!" So, we sold her old bike and made a call to our local (Aventon) dealer. They not only had a new Abound SR, but it was in the color my wife wanted: Haze; as in purple ('Scuse me, while I kiss the sky). She got on it and started riding around... without the assist! She peddled around the parking lot and said, "This is it. This is my bike." Needless to say, she loves it. We went out that afternoon and rode at a local wildland park. She couldn't believe how wonderfully the PAS worked on this bike; she loves it. Now we are truly an Aventon family. Oh, I've ordered her a goggles bike helmet with visor (purple); still in transit.
