Choosing the right sized bike for you can be a personal preference. There are many different measurements that affect riding comfort and performance, such as standover, reach, and seatpost height. If you're looking for a great place to start, we have recommended sizing in our geo chart.
The weight limit for both Current EXP and ADV is 300lbs.
The bike will come with tubes installed, but is still considered Tubeless Ready! "Tubeless Ready" means a few things. First, the wheels and tires are both tubeless ready, meaning that tires can bead directly into the rim of the wheel. Second, the wheels come taped for tubeless so the sealant (the fluid that seals small punctures) doesn't seep through the spoke holes. To set up your tubeless tires, please see our helpdesk.
The Current EXP and ADV eMTBs are built to standard industry spec, with included hangers for non-Transmission drivetrains. The headtube will accept any tapered fork and you can route any seatpost you desire, as long it is the correct diameter. The wheels are standard boost spacing and the headset is a ZS56 upper and lower, meaning that you can even run an angleset headset for a more customized ride.
The Current is built on a trail bike platform, meaning that it will handle a majority of trails. We have tested the Current on everything from green flow to double-black diamond downhill trails, and it's taken them on with varying levels of difficulty. PLEASE USE YOUR OWN DISCRETION WHILE RIDING THIS BIKE, AS IT ALL DEPENDS ON RIDER SKILL WHILE DESCENDING
Please refer to the RockShox website for more information on proper pressures and tuning for your fork and rear shock.
The Current EXP weighs 53lbs while the Current ADV weighs 56lbs.
Yes, both the Current EXP and ADV have waterproof ratings of IPX6 and the Ultro X motor has a waterproof rating of IP67, meaning that the bikes can handle direct streams and some submersion
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Explore a wide-range of Aventon accessories, including helmets, locks, bike pumps, and so much more to add to your next riding adventure.
All Aventon-branded frames, framesets, components, and batteries come with a 2-year warranty. Learn more about the Aventon warranty.
Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

*Aventon has the right without notice to the consumer to substitute components of at least equal quality for advertised Aventon ebike components in the event of the unavailability of such advertised components. More info.

**Max range is estimated based on a rider weighing 165 lbs (75 kg) on a paved, flat road, in Eco Mode, with Ride Tune set to the default settings. Actual range will vary depending on rider weight, terrain, weather conditions, tire pressure, and cadence.

For additional lithium-ion battery safety tips and information, including with respect to the use, charging, and storage of lithium-ion batteries, please click here to review safety information published by New York City.

†Certain features of this electric bike require a 4G data connection. A complimentary 4G connection subscription is included for the first year, beginning from the product service registration date. The 4G connection subscription service enables seamless access to advanced connectivity features including, but not limited to: GPS Location, 4G cellular communication activation, 4G cellular communication, Lost bike reporting, Remote Shutdown, Periodic status reports, Riding statistics summary information, Alarm and operation prompt sound, Vibration monitoring when powered off, Periodic status reporting when powered off, Transportation Mode, Key information synchronization, and Geofencing. Amazing eMTB!

Just finished the first 150 miles on the ADV, including climbs up to 12k feet. The bike performs flawlessly on the downhills and has power to spare on the uphills. The app makes customizing the power settings very easy and the auto setting allows gives you just enough power when you need it. I ordered the Current for myself and a Ramblas for my wife through Bike-n-sport in Santa Fe. Both are great bikes!

I LOVE the Current ADV!

I am an Aventon fan, I have the AA.2, the Ramblas, and now the Current ADV. The Current ADV has gotten me back out on single-track trails. The components are great, the dropper seat post is smooth, boost mode is amazing. I have so much confidence in this bike that my riding has improved exponentially in a short amount of time. The Current is by far the best bike I have ever owned, I like it even more than the Ramblas (don’t worry, Ramblas, you are still my go to bike for gravel)!

Next Level fun and capabilities

I had an AA1 when they first came out and loved the bike. The Current ADV is the bike I have been waiting for. Just picked mine up and put it work on a technical, rough trail and all I can say is, Wow! What a blast. The bike is very capable of and has components you’d expect in a much more expensive bike. Already looking forward to my next trail!

Current ADV

Omg! Took advantage of the sale and pulled the trigger. Waited and waited. Just to find the right bike. Bike has great reviews on media. Picked up Tuesday! Bam! Why did I wait. First ride was incredible. First ebike and getting older. Went to the back hills in Cedar City and was all giggles as I was able to hit so many trails. Stuff I would have cut short due to distance and steepness. Went for a 30 min break in ride and ended up doing 2.5 hour ride. So glad I pulled the trigger. Will still keep my non ebike but this is a game changer. Thank undo much. All the hype is real for the Current.

Current ADV is a E-Ticket Ride!

The Current is a amazing eMTB, ride quality and power is right there with all of the main players in the eMTB segment.
I have about 500 miles on my Current ADV and no issues, I have done some big rides 42 miles and 5000' elevation.
I did the 2026 Sea Otter Classic eXC race and took home 1st place in the 60+ division, won by over 11-mins and there were some Avinox, Bosch and Brose motor eMTB on the start line.
If you are looking for a great eMTB and value for you money, Current is the way to go.
