Sinch ships as a Class II ebike, with up to 20 MPH on pedal assist and throttle. If you are riding on private property or in an area without ebike speed restrictions, the speed limit can be modified in the settings, and Sinch's poweful motor can go up to about 24 MPH on pedal assist. Sinch can also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are not allowed.
Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride or park your ebike in the rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be submerged or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Far exceeded my expectations. Bike is larger than I thought which was a good thing. Very quick and powerful. Hills are no match.
Bike is fun to ride. My kids won’t stay off of it. They want one now too. Fender directions were not included. Needed to read other reviews for guidance of taking rear wheel off to install the rear fender. Also had to look at pictures to orient things correctly. Other than that I’ve enjoyed the bike thus far.
There was plenty of options out there but I decided to go with aventon sinch, why? Because of it's look. It is very solid and well built. I've had it for a week now and let me tell you, this thing is a beast on the road. Get used to people stopping you and ask questions. I get so many compliments everywhere i go. Thank you aventon for making my summer more fun and full of adventures
Love the bike, but when you are in 7th gear the chain is rubbing slightly on the inside of the front chainring bracket. This is due to crosschaining. Took to a shop was told nothing can be done.
Beautifully designed, thoughtfully engineered, and super fun to ride. Well done!
Before buying this eBike i test drove a few eMTB but decided i didn't really want to replace my fat tire MTB bike just yet. I really wanted a new riding experience that had the fit, form, and function that i would design into a bike. That's when Aventon Sinch caught my eye. With it's unique folding frame, fat tires, impressive list of electronic wizardry, and relatively low price, let’s just say I was hooked. It also had good reviews and is backed by a reputable company. Avant Sports. You can study the specs all day, but once you get familiar with this bike you will not stop riding it. At about 100mi - i really got to know this bike as it took me a little while to learn how best to us the 5 power assist modes (PAS) in conjunction with the silky smooth 7-speed Shimano Acera gear set. Out of the box setup was great, after about 100mi i made a few adjustments. General stuff like seat, handlebars, brake lever positions, and the RST Guide front suspension I setup to my liken. Now, I love to pedal so despite their cleverly design, i replaced the clever folding pedals with a decent set of MTB pedals for more torque and a solid grip. Being a heavy "peddler" i also swapped the positions of the PAS and Throttle to allow quick access to the PAS buttons with my left thumb. The throttle is a nice feature and can be used in any PAS mode which is super cool, i just don't use it that much. Kids and wife love it, go figure. RST Guide front fork: I'll admit this is my first suspension fork bike, and I can appreciate a high-tech suspension system; the RST Guide is not high-tech. It has a +/- spring tension adjuster with about 8 turns of adjustment from zero – (0) to max + (8). I set it high, i set it low, i adjusted it along with various tire pressures, and i found that: ~12psi for the tires, and the RST spring tension adjuster set to ~4 (midway) gave me the stability, the control and a pretty smooth ride over a wide range of terrain. This is the sweet spot for how, and where i ride this bike. Power Assist: (PAS) – I find I use the power assist mode in a multitude of ways depending on how I want to ride at any given moment. Fast, casual, on a mission or just going fishing, the PAS 5 system and 7 speed gear set make riding this bike like a supercar with a 7-speed manual transmission. It performs really well, and I appreciate and utilize the power more and more, every time I ride it. The battery life is performing as spec’d and I haven’t had any range anxiety. BTW – although a little heavy, this bike rides really well with zero (0) PAS. I recommend setting the PAS to (0) when in highly congested public areas, cause this bike is powerful and can accelerate pretty fast. The bike is about 40 pounds heavier than my fat-tire MTB so that took a little getting used to, (it’s not “flickable” if you know what I mean) but thankfully the brakes work really well.
My purchase came with fenders, love them, and the NR Swift 500 & Sabre 80 set which I also love. Overall very satisfied with this bike, also had a great experience dealing with the company. – I highly recommend it!
