This top bag is a winner due to it's compact design and functional expansion features. I added the quick release rack system, so I can't speak to how the bag would ride with just Velcro strap hold downs. The quick release system is solid and unshakable. The size of the collapsible saddle bags may seem small for some. Both bags together can handle one standard grocery bag worth, and still have room in the center compartment. Also, the center compartment expands up 2-3 inches for that butternut squash extra need.
On its own not big enough for large family grocery shopping, but I shop frequently in small amounts.
The clean, compact, unfrumpy design is working for me.

This bag is great! It doesn't lean to the left or to the right like my other one. Plus it has plenty of room with the drop down panniers on each side
I like the design & ease of using it. I did not use the bracket that attaches to the bike carrier & tried the valcro first. It appears to work fine. They have really done an excellent job of engineering the whole bike everything seems to fit together and easy to use. Thank you Aventon!
