Ideal !

Quick delivery. Ruggedly packaged. Took as long to unpack as assemble. Assembly video adequate but spends as much time on pedals/handle bars as derailleur. Might want to alter that some as there appears to be an ongoing issue with shoddy derailleur hangers. One was clearly mis-manufactured and the other was bent. Got an immediate response from customer service that pointed me in the right direction. I'm handy with most tools but took it to a real bike mechanic
to straighten the hanger and fine tune the brakes, the rear disc being a tad out of plumb. The battery charged right up and it was off to the races.
I love this bike !!! It was important to me that it operate as a normal 7-speed bike , which it does. Power assist when I need it. Back to bicycling pleasure that doesn't make it such a workout. Not a lot of asphalt to ride on in the rural country. Mostly ride on converted railroad grades (compressed gravel) Handles well, tires seem tough. Took it on a few cow trails that were NOT appropriate but it held up well. Have 30 miles on the battery and it still got 25% left.

I'm 6 ft and should have gotten a large but we are so happy with the product that I will pass this on to another family member and order another one. Very happy customer.

Awesome bike!

I purchased this bike for my girlfriend. She hasn't ridden bike for many years and was uncomfortable getting back on a bike. I made sure the bike met all her criteria. The frame had to be the right size and she had to be able to put her feel on the ground when she stopped. The step through model in a small frame definitely fit the bill. The seat had to be comfortable and it was. And the assist from the electric hub motor exceeded her expectations. So far she's only using the throttle to help get up hills and she's pedaling the bike 95% of the time. I'm sure as she continues to get more comfortable on the bike she will use the pedal assist modes. The 1x7 gearing is great. And she absolutely loves the color - amethyst. It's a winner all the way around. Great bike Aventon!

Very Happy

Purchased the Pace 350 small frame about a month ago as a short commute vehicle, and I have been very happy overall. I've gone about 50 miles over the past month and it has done great- would buy again.

Pros:
Class 2: this means it's still legal on bike paths in california and I don't have to worry about the other laws on faster/stronger ebikes.
The price is amazing. I thought I was stuck with DIY and department store bikes under 1K, but this bike also includes some name brand components and decent brakes.
Customer service. I contacted them twice. The first time was during assembly and the second was for a battery replacement. The original battery sent with the bike didn't hold a charge, but their online customer service was great at troubleshooting and fixing the problem. I can't praise them enough compared to other companies.
Small details. Things like a rubber paint protector for where the wires touch the frame, wraps organizing the wires, and tiny hooks for the brake wires are appreciated. None of the other bikes in the price point had these.
Battery size. The batter size lets me easily throw it in my purse and take it inside without looking like a crazy person carrying a battery.
Screen. This is the nicest screen I've ever used. I keep clearing the odometer accidentally, but it's nice to use both in the dark(backlight) and the day.

Cons:
Assembly. Other bikes come with the rear wheel attached, but the pace does not. I ended up taking it to a bike shop to do it properly.
Bike Back Rack. I didn't read the comments and didn't purchase the long stays for it to fit the small frame. Thankfully 15'' stays aren't that rare, but it delayed attachment.
Sudden start. I can't really complain about this because every single bike at this price point and even above it will have the same sensors for the motor starting.  It has not been an issue while riding, just something to get used to.
