This rack fits great on my aventon abound. I stick my son's backpack on it when doing pickup. My only issue is I got it for my dog and I can't find a basket that will fit on it.

The rack fits the snugly on the original Abound cargo bike. Installation was relatively easy except for two things: First, the instructions are extremely small and difficult to read. It comes with a single picture across all compatible bike models, and it is fairly difficult to see which two of the four holes are being indicated by the picture for your abound. Luckily the installation is not rocket science, and you can figure it out by process of elimination. Secondly, the threaded metal screws are very opinionated on how they go in to the bike frame. So had minor struggles on getting the "perfect" alignment of the screws with the bike frame. I'm sure bike specialists will have no problem with getting alignment, but I'm pretty novice when it comes to bikes. (minor quirk: the set of screws for the other bike mounts were also included in the package, and were running loose in the box because their bag had torn open in the packing process. I would have been annoyed and skeptical if the screws for my bike were in this situation.)

A few more things to note: the Abound is already a big and heavy bike and can be difficult to navigate around bike racks. Adding a front rack will not make this any easier, and may make the bike incompatible with certain racks. Keep this in mind for your most common uses.
The cargo net that Aventon used to sell works well with the new front rack and keeps things in the rack from bouncing out as you ride.
The rack itself is large enough to fit a small backpack. Like a kids backpack or small daypack. Anything bigger than 28L will be riding over the edges of the basket. Not the end of the world so long as you have it strapped down.

Overall, I like the rack. I wish it was slightly bigger, but understand why it can't be. I also wish the cargo net was included for the price paid.

I’m giving 3 stars as the product itself when it comes to build quality and expectation are fully met. No issues there. This was being attached to an Abound SR.

The front rack set greatly limits your ability to maneuver the bike and lock it appropriately when out and about. I live in a multi unit rental building with a bike room where the basket being attached on frame vs moving with the handlebars greatly limits your ability to swing it through doors and around corners. Also does limit range of motion of the cable assembly going into the downtube and also limits ability of front light to shine forward. Not best for my case and wish I could return but the box was torn up when I received so unable to return in original packaging.

This will fit the aventure 2. however the front brake line gets caught by the mounting bracket if you then the wheel all the way to left. I tried moving the cable around behind and in front of the bracket but im afraid of having it worn down and causing issues. The basket itself is great but unfortunately does not work with the aventure 2.
