Why is there an Environmental Recycling Fee?

One day, your Aventon e-bike battery will reach the end of its useful life. When that happens, the battery must be handled and recycled properly to protect the environment, people, and property
Aventon partners with The Battery Network, an industry-wide battery recycling program, to ensure e-bike batteries are safely and responsibly recycled and kept out of landfills. To support this program, a $15 Environmental Recycling Fee (ERF)* is collected for each battery, where applicable.

This fee helps cover the administration of the battery recycling program, including:
-Certified battery recycling and safe disposal
-Recycling kits and safety materials
-Transportation and logistics
-Consumer education and compliance with recycling regulations

When it’s time to recycle your Aventon e-bike battery, simply drop it off at an Aventon authorized retailer participating in The Battery Network program.
