Solid, heavy duty and great price.

Was surprised to see how they are made of pretty thick gauge metal. Solid and its competitors would be asking 2x to 3x the price. Would like to see a product that works with the quick release system that allows a milk crate or an aftermarket basket to be mounted. Seems like the options are pretty limited.

Thank you for your positive review of our Aventon Rear Rack & Fender Set - Ramblas. We are glad to hear that you find it solid, heavy duty, and at a great price. We take pride in using thick gauge metal to ensure the durability of our products. We appreciate your suggestion for a quick release system for mounting a milk crate or aftermarket basket, and we will definitely take it into consideration for future product updates. Thank you for choosing Aventon. Ride on!

Rambles rack and fender set

I live in Oregon and since the winter monsoon is predicted to start next week I decided to see what was available for fenders that will fit the Ramblas I purchased last spring. I see I’m the first to review this set so it must have just recently become available.
Every part seems sturdy yet light. The rack appears to be cast aluminum. The fenders are either cast plastic or possibly extruded aluminum. I’m not curious enough to scratch one to see what it’s made of. I like that the fenders are stiffer and more robust than the fenders on my Aventures. They have molded in bracing that runs the inner length as you can see in the picture.
So the instructions are pretty good. I’m not a bike tech but I’ve worked with hand tools most of my life. It took me an hour to install everything working at a careful pace. I started by turning the bike upside down. It’s way easier to get the rear wheel off and on that way. My only “head scratcher” was the front forks. Even with pictures of the 2 types of forks available on the Ramblas I couldn’t find the mounting lugs for my type 2 forks. Type 1 has mounting lugs but type 2 mounts to the bottom of the fork sliders as I tried to show in the picture. I added a small washer on the slider mounts because the bolt heads were almost ready to slide into the loop at the ends of the mounting bracket. You won’t have to remove the front wheel. I like that the fenders just barely cover the tread on the tires-for fenders I think they look pretty good. I pulled the fender away from the tire while I installed the fork brace **** since it has a slotted hole. Be sure to center the rear of the front fender while you tighten the fender bracket bolts at the bottom of the fork sliders.
Once you get the rear wheel off ,mounting the rear fender and rack are pretty easy. Be aware that the rear axel nut on the drive side is LEFT HAND THREAD.The axel is RIGHT HAND THREAD. I think the nut needs to be loosened slightly before you remove the axel. I didn’t completely remove the nut. I thought the bolt that screws into the seat down tube was longer than it needed to be so I used a shorter one that I already had but that’s probably not necessary. I used the only short bolt on the front fender to fork brace-possibly it was ment for the seat post mounting point.
Flipped it over and went for a blast on a gravel road-NO RATTLES! Sorry, couldn’t find a mud puddle to test the water worthiness but I’m confident they do the job. These aren’t cheap Amazon parts but they fit and are designed for the Ramblas. When I purchased these (late Sept. 2025) Aventon wasn’t charging for shipping-if you’re riding this winter ,now’s the time to order. Days after I ordered this set Aventon announced the “quick release mount “ for the rack. You might want to check that out too.

Hi Robert! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the Aventon Rear Rack & Fender Set - Ramblas. We are so glad to hear that you are happy with the sturdiness and quality of the set. We appreciate your detailed feedback on the installation process and are sorry for any confusion you experienced with the fork mounts. Thank you for the tip on the rear axle nut, we will make sure to include that in our instructions. Enjoy your new fenders and rack, and stay dry during those winter monsoons in Oregon! Happy riding.
