Aventon Current - Where Potential Becomes Power
April 3, 2026
March 16, 2026 (Brea, CA) - Aventon is proud and excited to release their first full-suspension electric mountain bike, the Current. The Current represents the culmination of years of development and engineering, and stands as the flagship of Aventon's off-road performance line.
Designed to help you make the most of your time on the trails, the Current is where potential becomes power.
The Aventon Current is a 140mm/150mm travel full-suspension mountain bike built on a four-bar Horst link suspension platform. With industry-standard geometry, the Current offers a predictable and reliable ride that's smooth and accessible for beginning riders and capable enough for seasoned pros (such as Brett Tippie).
Current comes in two trims: EXP and ADV. The EXP has a carbon front triangle, upgraded suspension, and a wireless SRAM Transmission Drivetrain.
The ADV is fully aluminum frame with a cable actuated drivetrain and more entry-level suspension.
Both trims of the Current come with the same Ultro X mid-drive motor, which outputs up to 120Nm of torque in Boost Mode. Neatly integrated into Aventon's Smart Bike Ecosystem, the Ultro X works the Aventon Control Unit (ACU) to provide our riders with ride-enhancing technology, such as Overrun, Wheel Lift Control, and Jump Tracking
