The Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, rigid fork, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle, while the Level 2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with fenders and a rear rack.
The Aventon Pace 500.3 comes puncture-resistant tires that are made with tougher compounds and are great for rough surfaces, such as uneven asphalt or light gravel trails.
The Pace 500.3 cruiser electric bike weighs 54 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 7.5lbs)
Aventon’s Pace 500.3 cruiser electric bike comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Pace are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

First e-bike

After many years of riding together (over 50years ) my son recommended maybe it was time to upgrade . The new pace 4 was our choice . My wife and I test road several makes and Aventon won out . A little hard to get used to because of the weight but in time got used to it and plan many more days riding . The Aventon dealer , Greensburg bike shop , was knowledgeable and friendly , and took care of all our needs .

Upgrade was worth it!

I knew the Pace 4 had a number a nice upgraded features from my Pace 500.2 Next Gen, but i have to tell you i am blown away after a couple of rides. The “drivetrain” is so smooth and effortless. The swayback handlebars are a much needed relief for my shoulders and allow me to sit up straight. The power modes are great, especially the customization of the modes. I really appreciate the security upgrades. Even though i will always lock my bike, the addition of the motion sensor will surely discourage anyone.

My only suggestion is to make the turn signal buttons larger. I have inadvertently hit the power button which changes my view. i guess i could use the app but i will figure it out. Great bike and great investment with the higher gas prices. I am thrilled with my SECOND Aventon. Now, just hoping to find a “good home/buyer” for my Pace 500.2!
