Aventon Control Unit’s 4G†/GPS† capabilities introduce an array of new features.

  • GPS Location - GPS positioning is performed periodically and the position is updated to the Aventon app.
  • 4G cellular communication - The ACU communicates with cloud servers over 4G cellular networks.
  • Geofencing - Set boundaries where your ebike is allowed or not allowed to go.
  • Report lost - With 4G subscription, the motor assistance can be disabled from the Aventon app, and the bike’s motor will stop functioning.
  • Remote shutdown - The Aventon app can remotely control the shutdown of the ACU via Bluetooth or 4G network.
  • Alarm and Motion sensor - Now you can remotely detect movement and security verification failure, all from the Aventon app. After the shutdown, the ACU’s built-in accelerometer will continuously monitor for vibrations (such as being moved, falling, etc), and will report it through the 4G connection when detected.
  • Status report - With 4G, whether your bike is on or off, the ebike status info like location and battery is directly uploaded to the cloud server when the Aventon app is not connected. Through your Aventon app, you can also receive updates on ebike status and change notification frequency as desired.
  • Ride statistics summary - During your ride - mileage, duration, start/end locations are recorded and uploaded to the cloud server via Bluetooth or 4G, even when your Aventon app is not in use.
  • Transportation Mode - All functions such as status reporting and vibration monitoring can be turned off. For long-distance transportation, reducing the use of ACU’s 4G, can save battery power.
Fat tire bikes are designed primarily for all-terrain use and can handle various off-road terrains, including street, snow, sand, dirt trails, and rough roads.
Aventon ebikes like the Aventure 3 are built to the IPX6 water-resistant standard. An IPX6 rating means the bike is protected against high-pressure water streams from any angle. This provides strong water resistance, so you can confidently ride in heavy rain or through puddles and mud. However, IPX6 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Step Thru & Step Over - 5 Reasons We Love Our Aventure 3 **** Tire Bikes:

1.) Online shopping exemplified! Pick your size, color and presto! Bikes arrive at your house ready to build. Assembly was easy and tools are included! Customer service is outstanding, too! We needed help with a charger and received a new one in two days.

2.) Best-in-class performance, options and features at our budget level. No other ebike came close to Aventon’s Aventure 3 at this price point. For comfort (geometry), quality components, power, range of travel, and security, you can’t beat the value.

3.) The Aventon App! Synch your bike to the Aventon app and you can customize your ride, track your bike and even lock it remotely. Super convenient and surprisingly simple.

4.) Shockingly comfortable! Aventure 3 combines the geometry of a laidback beach cruiser cockpit with a mountain bike frame, giving the rider a more upright riding position. They also include a front shock fork and a seat-post shock absorber to help smooth out the bumps. We didn’t find many bikes with a front shock fork at this price point so, the seat-post shock is a bonus!

5.) **** Tire Fun for go anywhere adventures. We’re back on our bikes and free to move about the landscape after a decade without wheels! It doesn’t matter if the path is paved or not. We’ve been putting in miles every weekend and even some evenings. We are loving the feeling of riding again!

The over all experience with Aventon has been great. We'd definitely recommend Aventon to anyone looking for their first ebike or wants to add another bike to their herd.

Excellent Choice for municipality rules of the road.

First time e-bike and am very proud of this choice. It really takes all my concerns away as I tend to travel from state to state and never know what the road rules are for e-bikes. There is a common ground and this one fits that bill. One expects a deterioration of battery life after usage, but I have a few hundred miles on it and it is very consistent. I love the accessories too, as they are a perfect match. I wish I had a fleet of these, but only have one body.
