Love it

My kids love it. Took a little to install but feels very safe, kids sit backwards forwards sideways and always feel secure.

Wondering if anyone knows what size washers it uses so I can replace a few. Thanks!

Works great.

A little bit tricky to install. Easier if someone is helping aligning the holes. Quality is good but be wary of trying to force screws in.

Hi Fernando, thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear the Aventon Handrail works well. We appreciate the tip about installation and will keep that in mind to help others. If you need any assistance in the future, feel free to reach out!

Wasn’t that easy to install.

The holes and screws are not perfectly aligned and the instructions are bare.

Poorly tested/developed

I do not like writing negative reviews. I always hope the best for bike companies and Aventon is a rad company with a cool marketing appeal. However, this accessory rack is mounted with 4 bolts. 2 bolts in the front about 1" apart, and 2 bolts in the back about 4" apart. The 2 front bolts are difficult to secure to the bike frame/rack because the part of the handrail where the hardware goes does not sit flat with the bike frame/rack. When tightening the screws you may be concerned of cross-threading due to the misalignment that causes difficulty securing the hardware. The back 2 bolts we were not able to attach because the bike frame/rack is not drilled for hardware. The Handrail is drilled for hardware, but not the rack that comes assembled to the bike itself. After contacting customer service, I received a replacement rack which also did not have the drilled holes. I contacted customer service again and received the incorrect rack, the hardrail, rather than the rack that comes assembled to the bike itself. I am now in touch with customer service again to receive the correct rack. Although this is super frustrating, customer service has been professional and helpful through the process and shipping/receiving has been pretty quick too. I hope Aventon is able to figure out where the problem was caused and also fix their inventory, get replacement inventory, and get a credit from the their factory, to avoid losing more money on freight attempting to fix this issue with other customers.

The assembly instructions for the Handrail appear to have been an afterthought. Frankly, they look to have been designed by a contractor, or someone without direct knowledge of the product and how to assemble the handrail. Other Aventon instructions, for the bike and electric system for example, are great, but the Handrail instructions are poor. I know they can resolve this with a little extra effort.

Best of luck Aventon. Making products is not easy and you are not the only brand with issues like this. Keep up the improvements.
