Intro To Auto Mode

Our technical developments are driven by the desire to simplify the ride, and Aventon Auto Mode was one step further with this line of thinking. Auto Mode breaks down the barriers between assist modes, providing dynamic power output based on the slope of the terrain being ridden. Utilizing an inertial measurement unit (IMU) within the A100 mid-drive motor to detect slope, Auto Mode finds and provides the right amount of assist wherever you’re riding. This feature is the answer to constantly switching pedal assist levels throughout your ride, allowing riders to focus more on the ride, and worry less about the bike's motor response.

Why Auto Mode?

Even after dialing in the perfect Ride Tune specs and finding the right gear, it can still feel like certain parameters are meant for one specific ride. Sure, you could dial in the perfect Sport Mode for wherever new trail you’re off to explore, but it’s a lot of work diving back and forth in the app trying to make the assist feel optimal for the route.

We developed Auto Mode as the most dynamic option for the widest range of rides. Breaking down the barriers between assist modes, Auto Mode uses a fixed power curve to utilize the full range of the ebike motor, taking the guesswork out of what mode should be used where. Auto Mode utilizes a variety of variables to determine the motor’s power output, including pedal torque, cadence, speed, and incline. This allows for the most natural ride available, as well as increasing battery efficiency and simplifying the ride whole ride experience.

How To Use:

Auto Mode is only available on the all-new Aventure M. Nestled between Trail and Turbo, Auto Mode can be accessed the same as any other assist mode. From startup, hit the “+” button three times to get into Auto Mode and let the motor do the thinking!
