Great rack

I have no pets, but I wanted a solid basket for groceries and such on the back of my Aventon Pace 500 Next Gen. This rack definitely met my needs and more. It's solid. I love the spring-levered hold downs. They let me drop my sweatshirt, or whatever, in the basket without needing to mess around with tie-downs. For a product improvement, I'd like a hands-free way to hold those "doors" open while I put stuff in the basket. But that's a nitpick. I'm extremely happy with this basket.

Great basket! (Not for dogs)

Perhaps this basket is good for a tiny little dog (under 10lb) but my Boston (20lb) doesn’t fit well. However I do love this basket. It’s great for brewery runs, food, farmers market anything else. And my PO CAMPO bag fits perfectly in it! Recommend highly as a basket in general; and for tiny dogs only.

Nice but Not for a PET

It's kind of a cool basket, but I wouldn't put a pet in there.
No head room.
Also, When carrying a pet, they need to feel safe. In other words, you should block off the sides with some kind of fabric, and leave windows for air and looking out....but don't leave it open like they're in a cage. They will feel exposed. These are animals. This is a weird little basket for a pet.
However.....I love it for carrying other stuff.
