Aventon Donates to Spark of Love Toy Drive & So Can You!

It’s almost too cliche to say it again; but the pandemic has made 2020 a really difficult year for every single one of us. Challenging many in ways they didn’t think were possible. Add in the wildfires that have ripped through and devastated many parts of the beautiful place we all call home here in Southern California it makes for a pretty -to be honest- brutal year.

At the end of every year we have the much anticipated holiday period. A great time for reflection on the year past, gratitude for what has been and what is coming, and a chance for us to give the gift of holiday cheer.

With doors, sadly, firmly closed because of the worldwide pandemic, and family members only allowed to visit the house on a phone or a computer screen, not even the holiday season has escaped. Unfortunately, whilst smaller or virtual gatherings may be the only difference for the lucky of us this year, for many others 2020 has made this holiday season one that they may not want to look forward to and, sadly, sooner forget.

OUR COMMITMENT

In light of all this, the great impact 2020 has had on our community and this festive chance to spread cheer, Aventon has made a commitment to donate at least $10,000, made up of a percentage of ebike sales from the month of December, to the ABC 7 Spark of Love Toy Drive. We will be asking our customers and social media followers to help us raise as much money as possible for this extraordinary cause in these extraordinary times and gift the gift of holiday cheer to those in our community who need it the most.

Along with this monetary donation we are also very happy to say that we’ve donated over $15,000 worth of scooters to the Spark of Love Toy Drive!

We were inspired to partake in this program after getting up close and personal -well, as up close and personal as you’re allowed to get- with the LAFD a couple of weeks ago when we donated 5 ebikes to their Mobile Medics Program. With all the extra work the LAFD and their local area partners have done for our communities in recent time we decided that any cause they support is a great one to get behind.
