I had another e-bike that was rendered useless because of a bad battery and no ability for replacement since the company went out of business. To prevent this from happening again I purchased a second battery up front. I rotate the batteries and carry both on the bike all the time. Having two batteries allows me to completely use one battery without worrying about being stranded. I have the ability to go at least 80 miles without recharging. I love it..
