Simple controls, right on your handlebar

Fastest Bike in the West!

This bike is built tough and can move like a bullet up hills and through traffic. It took a long time to put together, but wasn't overly difficult (though the derailleur was more difficult to install than the instructional video had outlined). It's a very comfy ride and it looks great in all black with the standard Kenda reflector tires. One downfall of the Aventon site - the fenders recommended for sale on the Aventon site DO NOT FIT, at least in reference to the large Pace 500. You have to go get an extra long bolt and a rubber washer from a hardware store - not the kind of service you'd expect from an internet-based company. Why not find and recommend an accessory that actually fits as-is? Better yet, make one in house. Other than that, I'd highly recommend the Pace 500 - excellent value for the price.

Aventon Review of the Pace 500

Overall the bike seems great although with the recent bad weather we have not gotten to ride it that much. A few issues to note: The handlebars were delivered to us backwards and fortunately my husband is very handy and was able to turn them around, the front brakes are very squeaky and part of the installation directions we not accurate. Also, the pedal assist from 3 to 5 does not seem much different while going uphill. Thanks and I look forward to rides soon. Carrie

Fun bike

Very much enjoy riding this bike. Had a bit of a problem with mounting the derailleur but it eventually came together. Being an seasoned citizen I can ride much farther with little effort. Bike seems to be well built and I expect many years of fun riding on the trails.

Aventon Pace 500

I waited a while to do a review on the Aventon Pace 500 so that I could get a better idea of all of the qualities of the bike. I have about 350 miles on my ebike so far, and I must say, I am very pleased. I use my bike whenever the weather permits to get to work and back and occasionally the grocery store. My round trip to work and back is ~26 miles. I haven't pushed my bike over 20 miles, so I can't give honest feedback on the true range of one battery cycle of the bike. The bike is made with high quality components that haven't given me any issue yet. as per Oklahoma state law, I have my Aventon set to pedal along at 30 mph. It does not have any issue getting up to that speed on level ground. Oklahoma is relatively flat, but the wind can be brutal. After ~12 miles my bike can still cruise along pedaling at 27.5-28.5 mph without me putting any effort into pedaling, which allows me to get to work or back in about 37-40 minutes depending on the wind. acceleration is pretty good, especially given the fact that it is just a 500W motor. The brakes are incredible, which is critical given the top speed of the bike. The tires, even after ~350 miles, show minimal signs of wear and have ample traction for any terrain that I have encountered such as wet pavement, gravel, sand, and dirt. For an E-bike, the Aventon Pace 500 is relatively light. My last E-bike had a 250W motor and weighed in at 56 lbs. I was pretty worried about the lack of suspension on the frame of this E-bike. As it turns out, the saddle that they put on this bike makes moderately rough terrain basically irrelevant to the comfort of the ride. It is AMAZING!!! Riding on grass and bumps and cracks in the road brings no discomfort due to the suspension built into the seat itself. There are only two issues that I have with this bike. 1) You have to pedal about half a turn for the throttle to engage ( I am a rather impatient person) and 2) The throttle will only go unassisted up to 20 mph, w...

Fast!

Really nice quality out of the box. Super fun and fast! Had a little trouble putting it together as it was my first time. YouTube video could have been a little more detailed and slower. Otherwise, the bike is awesome. I had a 40 minute bus ride, but with the bike it’s a 12 minute commute. Now my brother wants one. Would recommend. I ordered a medium so my wife and I could both ride. I am 5’11 and it fits just fine, but if it was just for me I probably would have went for the large.
